For over forty years, Sheffield Hindu Mandir and Community Centre has been the heart of the Hindu community across South Yorkshire—including Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Derbyshire.
Originally established in 1982 (as Hindu Samaj, Charity No. 517550), we moved to our current site in 2000. Transforming a former school complex into a place of sanctuary and strength, we have turned a legacy of education into a modern hub for spiritual growth, cultural pride, and community service.
